  • Ron Marasigan

    Hello! My name is Ron Marasigan, and I’m one of the lead instructors at Koofit Sports Performance Academy. I’ve been a NASM Certified Personal Trainer since 2016. I have worked with general fitness clients looking to lose weight and gain muscle. Now as an instructor at Koofit Sports Performance Academy, I continue to bring my clients results, as well as training more athletes using strength and conditioning approaches. Form, fast, and function are the 3 pillars that represent my philosophy on fitness; improving the body’s overall strength and endurance using high-quality movement, performed with intent. My goal is to provide a challenging and functional training session to all my clients at Koofit, while maintaining an interactive and enjoyable training environment.

  • Dean Fitzsimons

    My name is Dean Fitzsimons, Co-Founder of Koofit Sports Performance Academy. I have been a certified personal trainer for over 10 years now and have worked with over 500 clients. I struggled with being overweight in my teenage years and know how being overweight, unfit and unhealthy can affect the lifestyle, especially from childhood into adulthood. Being in the fitness industry for this long, it’s safe to say to guide others to a more physical, active and healthier lifestyle is my passion. With many years teaching kids on how to be more active, eat better, move better and to instil discipline when it comes to physical performance, I am looking forward to helping your kids discover the benefits to living a more physically active life.

  • William Wright

    Hi! My name is William Wright, and I’m one of the lead instructors at Koofit Sports Performance Academy. Growing up, I would just sit around playing video games until I got involved in sports, but by the time I graduated high school, I had managed to become extremely active, playing competitively on all school sports while maintaining my school work and learning an instrument. Now I have travelled the world, having fought internationally with the Canadian Karate Team, completed a Bachelors Degree in Kinesiology at UBC, and I’m currently working as a personal trainer with a Gold Standard Certificate in Personal Training. I have a wealth of experience in teaching children discipline, life skills, and good values from teaching kids Karate and I’m excited to bring that experience to Koofit.

    Hello! My name is Wema Bwemba and I’m one of the lead instructors at Koofit Sports Performance Academy. I am a retired professional athlete from the Canadian Football League, a certified fitness coach, and a mentor & support worker for youth in care. My life values are respect, integrity and love. Whether it was during the past 20 years playing organized sports, or now. As I advocate for wellness, I have used these three principles to share my passion for fitness and health with those around me. I believe in helping the youth thrive, using a mindful approach to physical exercise that encourages them to discover and master themselves.

  • KASEY VADER

    Hi! My name is Kasey Vader and I’m one of the lead instructors are Koofit Sports Performance Academy with over 3 years of clinical experience as a Kinesiologist and Active Rehabilitation Specialist. I have been involved in sports and athletics for the majority of my life, and understand the vast benefits both physically, mentally, and socially that sports can have on an individual. My objective working with clients is to assist them in reaching their goals, whether that be returning from injury or increasing their strength and cardiovascular capacity, through fostering a positive and inclusive environment.

  • BORIS SI

    Hi, my name is Boris Si, and I’m a strength & conditioning coach, soccer performance coach and GPP Group Class Instructor at Koofit Sports Performance Academy! I was involved in soccer and sports since I was a child, and watching my favourite soccer stars at a young age drove me to work hard and achieve my goal of playing as a professional soccer player overseas. After my stint overseas, I came back to Vancouver where I played varsity at UBC and enrolled in Kinesiology. I hold the philosophy of athlete-centered coaching, promoting physical literacy, and believe in optimizing performances for all types and levels of individuals!

  • Caz Kasher

    Hello! My name is Caz Kasher, and I’m a strength and conditioning coach, ACE personal trainer, and sprint coach at Koofit Sports Performance Academy. With a Kinesiology Diploma and expertise in areas such as Youth Sports Performance, Senior Fitness, and Sports Nutrition, I’m excited to be able to apply my knowledge and experience to all my clients. My passion for coaching stems from a lifelong involvement in track and field and basketball, where I developed a deep appreciation for competition, intensity, physicality, and goal-oriented work. My interest in sports extends to sport and exercise science, as well as sprinting strategies and mechanics. It’s my experiences through sports that has taught me values that I implement in my personal training career till this day.

  • Tré Bui

    Hi! My name is Tré Bui, and I’m a Sports Performance, Boxing Padwork and ACE Certified Personal Trainer at Koofit Sports Performance Academy. I grew up involved in sports like Football, Track & Field, Boxing and Rugby throughout my whole life. It was the camaraderie and the pursuit of bettering yourself that led me to becoming a personal trainer. I stumbled upon coaching after finding myself constantly sharing the lessons that i learned from my sporting life with other people, so that they too could achieve the growth and progress I was lucky enough to have. My training philosophy revolves around unlocking the body’s movement and capacity to perform outside of the weight room. As a trainer, my biggest goal would be to show that ANYBODY can be an athlete in their own right through hard work, but also, intelligent work and unyielding commitment.

    Hello! My name is Tommy Qu, co-founder of Koofit Sports Performance Academy. I am a certified youth fitness coach, specialized 200m & 400m sprinting in track and field. I’m a motivated and energetic father of two young boys, looking to change the lives of children for the better through fitness and health. I love being outdoors, exercising, and working with children. I’m committed to creating fun and insightful activities, driven from a deep love of sports.
